Package Options: The Beast is Back! The Camaro resumes all attempts to outperform and outsell the Mustang. Sticking with tradition, the Camaro is a 2+2, front-engine, RWD design, with several updates since its debut in 1967, like Power, Technology, and Comfort - geesh - did we say POWER?
The Camaro SS comes standard with a four-wheel independent suspension system, variable-rate power steering with axle-forward rack mounting, four-wheel disc brakes, and the Stabilitrak stability control system. SS trims get four-piston upgraded Brembo brake calipers, a more aggressive tuneable suspension, and more.
The SS sports a 6.2-liter V8 and gets a bit of a power boost when equipped with the manual over the automatic, 422 hp versus 400 even, respectively. Due to GM's active fuel management cylinder deactivation, the V8 is estimated to be capable of up to 23 mpg on the highway.
The SS also includes the rear spoiler and ground effects along with the factory stripe kit on the hood and truck deck. In addition, this car also has the magnum wheels which seem to be this years hard to get option so act fast, drool a little and make this beast yours! |
