Z06 620 HP

From Autoweek:

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 details leak, and it's going to have 620 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque
Search result metadata gives sneak peek at fired-up C7

2015 Corvette Z06 specifications 620 hp 650 lb-ft Chris Doane
We'll be seeing the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 sans camouflage soon enough -- it will make its debut at the Detroit auto show.

We won't get a complete look at the specs of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 until it makes its official debut at the upcoming Detroit auto show, but a web coding blooper means we get a sneak peak at some of its vital stats before the reveal. Specifically, it's set to get 620 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque -- a big boost over the 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque the base 'Vette enjoys.

How did this happen? According to Jalopnik, Chevy built an empty placeholder web site for the Z06 ahead of the reveal but kept some specifications in the page's metadata. A keen-eyed Jalopnik reader noticed. We did our own search and included the results below.

Since this takes a little bit of the drama away from the big debut, it's no surprise that GM has reportedly pulled the info. But don't worry, guys! We're still eager to get all the little details that didn't leak, like weight, acceleration, fuel economy (just kidding)...if anything, knowing that the already suburb C7 is getting a few hundred extra horses under the hood has made us even more intrigued than we already were
