What will 2014 Corvette Stingray MSRP be?

Do you think it will be in the high 50k range or 60k? How much of a dealer mark up would you pay? What is a reasonable price to ask for a car with this much design and technology?

I would estimate base MSRP to be between $53,000 and $54,000.

For reference, Base MSRP on a 2013 Corvette is $49,600 (not including $995 destination).

Yeah, the need to keep it close to 2013. Maybe a bit higher, but they can't drastically increase the price.

Wow, that is cheaper than a ZL1 with the same performance.

It's as if each model is taking a step up in performance but retaining its designation. It's friggin brilliant.

Better performance than a ZL1 truthfully.
My base C6 hasn't lost to a ZL1 yet. So ain't no C7 gonna lose either!

The new with a non-aspirated LT1 > the aspirated ZL1.

I predict MSRP at $53,495... give or take a few Benjamins. It'll be a bargain!

Wouldn't that be less than a 55k ZL1?

Yes indeed... as we all know, the ZL1 is a premium model anyway... kinda like what a Z06 and/or ZR1 would be. Also in Wellburn's interview on 1/13/13, they flashed a targeted MSRP of 53K. Hope it's true! We'll see...

I'm expecting 53,995, but it would be awesome to do 49,995 and market it as under 50K. Could be a great marketing tool at the expense of a bit of profit. We shall see.

Oh that would be awesome... perceptions change just because of an under 50K starting pricepoint. Like you said, we shall all see...

We're aware of this already but the same quote is being repeated to other journalists

The new generation of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will get a starting price similar to the one of the outgoing model.
In a recent interview with Ward’s Auto, the General Motors performance cars marketing manager, John Fitzpatrick, has spoken about the price of the new Corvette generation. According to the GM official, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette will have a similar price to the one of the 2013 Corvette.
“If you can afford the 2013 Corvette, you can afford the 2014”, as Fitzpatrick told Ward’s Auto.
With the cheapest version of the 2013 Chevrolet Corvette coming at just over 50,000 USD, the new generation of the sports car will get a similar starting price.

What do you think the Z51 package will tack on, another 3k? And what about the difference in price between the trim levels 1LT, 2LT & 3LT?

Now you're talkin'.... that 50k pricepoint swiftly rises once we add those options and trim levels. Compare the past C6's a la carte price list and even a base C6 quickly escalates in total price faster than a swimming

In 2009 (the last year it was offered), Z51 was a $1,695 option.
However the C6 Z51 package did not include different wheels.

Because of the wheels, I would expect the C7 Z51 option to be significantly higher, maybe $3,500.

Ok, here's my attempt at a comparison price chart :

Trim w/o Z51 w/ Z51

1LT $53500 $57000

2LT $56000 $59500

3LT $59500 $63000

Wishful thinking?
