Recommendations on spray wax
I had plasti dip on my roof which I did way too thin so I had to use Xylene to get it off, took forever. Afterwards I had bad residue so I used Dawn and foamed the whole care before washing with Adams car wash. Now that I Dawn'd it, I imagine I took off the wax that was previously there, or what ever was left since the car is almost 5 years old and I hadn't waxed it myself previously... Long story short, my question is this...
I don't have a PC nor the time to do a correct polish and wax but I want some sealant. Can I clay my car then use a half decent spray wax? Any recommendations for spray waxes? |

Adams, Megs, JaxWax, Blackfire, pretty much all the major brands do the job for me when it comes to a spray wax. It's one of those things I don't really overthink. I typically only use a spray wax to freshen up the car when needed, not as a sole LSP after a detail. So any reputable brand does the job for me. Haven't tried one that I felt was significantly different or better/worse than another. Currently I have a bottle of JaxWax spray wax that I really have liked, so I may stick with it.

Meguiars Ultimate Spray Wax, or Meguiars Gold Class spray wax are both excellent and easy to find.

So, Adams' exterior sealant and the H2O Gloss stuff for all intents and purposes wax and the same stuff at Turtle Wax Ice? Like I wouldn't get any benefits out of doing Turtle Wax Ice then going over with Adams H2O stuff right?

Turtle wax is crap, get that off your vehicle if you value the worth of it.

It isn't on my car, right now nothing is and I don't have the time or money to spend on fully correcting my paint so I just want something. I think in terms of ease of use I might go with the Adams H2O stuff. Thanks for your help!

Before jumping to conclusions with Adam's...which seems to be the standard around here. I would check out reviews a detailersdomain, live2detail, autopia, and detailedimage. Adam's makes good detail spray...haven't found better, but that's where it ends (in my opinion).

A spray wax isn't going to give you much durability in terms of how long it lasts, most will be around a 2-3 weeks.
For quality and price Optimum is hard to beat for a spray wax, and will last around 2 months if your washing using non-lsp stripping cleaners like the Adams you have. If your going with Adams HGG, you'll need at least 2 plush microfibers, I think 3 is better to alternate the wet towel. The Rag Company Everest 800 or 1100 are the best value I've found for a quality plush microfiber. You'll need to wash these only with other microfiber towels, with a detergent that is dye free, fabric softener free. These are sold at most stores and are labeled "free & clear". Also when ordering from Adams, be sure to use discount code "Camaro5" for a 10% discount, if their not running a sale when you order. If your car hasn't been waxed or protected for 5 years, it definitely needs claying after washing to remove stuck on contaminates. Traditional clay will work, but a clay alternative, like the speedy prep towel, is much faster and easier, but costs more. You can pick up a meguiars or mothers clay kit at Wal-Mart for around $20.
