Does No Nav = No BU camera - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I'm working on purchasing a brand new 2015 2 SS - sight unseen. The car comes with perf exhaust / sunroof, 6 speed - but no NAV.
Is there a BU camera? Does it show the rear in the mirror like older models? Are there any Bu alerts from the sensors to alert the driver?
I searched the GM website but haven't been able to find much on this.

Back up cameras are required by law, at least in the USA.

2SS should have it as a standard option. 1SS it is an additional option that needs to be added.

Should say on the window sticker also, might request a copy to verify what it actually has.

They did make it law, but the requirement date to fully comply with the law for manufacturers is 2018.

i ordered my 14 2ss with out navigation and yes you have the back-up camera. it is displayed in the information screen for the radio, there's a specific name for it but it escapes me, the are also audible sensor alerts.

If it's a 2SS, it will have the rear vision package... which is both the back up camera and rear back up sensors. Both a great thing to have on a Camaro.

Mine is a 2SS. No nav. Like others said, the backup cam uses the MyLink screen. I think the 2015 will also have the turning guidelines in the camera.

If possible why don't you look at the car you are going to buy or if not better yet ask the person that will be selling you the car as to what options it has?
