I agree there will always be greedy dealers and there will always be guys they are foolish enough to pay the mark up. Example: I had the first GTR R35 in SoCal and it cost me 5k over window. In that case I was the fool and paid the mark up. Every other dealer wanted 10k to 25k over.

I purchased a new 2013 GT500 and the dealer was asking 10k over I laughed and said I will give you $500 over invoice. He told me how rare the car was and that he would never sell the car for less than 5k over. After the car sat there for 5 more weeks they called me and sold the car for $750 over invoice.

My dealer sold me my 2012 GS Vette Vert for $250 over invoice. He said they will sell 2013 Vettes to the reg customers like me for straight invoice but the first 20 or 30 Vettes sold will be at window. By the time the friendly ends they will be back to $500 to $1000 over invoice as well

C7Z51- Those are some sweet rides. Have you ever gotten a highline or sports car and not pay sticker or above sticker?

a fool and his money are soon parted. Somewhere, there are idiots lined up to get the first C7's and will pay dearly for that privilege. I'm waiting until year 2 of production. Hopefully by then hype will have died down, discounting will be back and first year bugs will have been worked out. If I just have to get a first year model? The top 3 volume 'Vette dealers are very close to me, I can get a good deal worked out.

Simply... No to ADM
Its a fantastic looking car that I am confident will be a fantastic performing one as well. In the end it is a production car and a dealer asking anything over MSRP would be insulting. I would go elsewhere, or as one said earlier wait.

I have only paid sticker once and that was with my 99 Porsche Boxster. They were still rare at the time and all had to be ordered. My dealer told me, "put your deposit down ($500) order it...if you don't like it when it comes in, we will refund your deposit and sell it to someone else tomorrow." I ordered, loved it, and never regretted it. Now, I would like a new C7, but I am willing to wait. I refuse to pay an ADM. I don't need to be the new kid on the block with the new toy that badly. Patience is a virtue...

Any dealer that I talk to and mentions ADM, I say have a nice day...and walk away.

Absolutely no ADM... I've ordered 2 of the 5 vettes I've owned.....first one was $500 over invoice. Second $200 over invoice.

Greed begets greed..... I can only imagine what a dealers service and parts department would do if they only offered vettes at ADM.... cha ching!!

Unfortunately, there are very few dealers as customer oriented as Rodger's Chevrolet with Becky and Joe. I still cannot understand why the other greedy dealers continue to sell above MSRP to one person when if they were fair and customer oriented they could continue to sell to the entire family and all of their friends. Greed is so short sited.

Where there is a will there's a way. All the dealerships around me in Socal wanted $5k over MSRP except one but they sold all their allocations. I called around and found a dealership in Arizona that sold me their 2nd allocation for MSRP. I ended up ordering my ZL1 the way I wanted and actually ended up with a low VIN# to boot (#80). All I paid was $150 courtesy transfer fee to have GM ship the car from the plant directly to my local dealership and I was rollin' the next day with 580HP. If you buy from a state with lower sales tax than your home state and just pay the $150 courtesy transfer fee you can score an even better deal than most people
