Sun roof rattle

Sun roof is rattling while going over slight bumps, listening to music not very loudly.. anyone else experience this? Still functions properly however.

Yes. I'm taking it to the dealership soon to see what they tell me. Hopefully it isn't an arm and a leg.

You having a 15 it shouldn't cost you a penny, that's what warranty is for, anyways, mine rattles too, let us know what the fix is. I'm guessing some bushings or something like that

Could be debris in or around the track.

I know this is an old thread but its the most relevant to what I just found in my 14 2SS. I took it to the dealer for a "tin foil crinkly" sound above the driver and a rattle behind the sunroof when I went over bumps. With the sunroof open it didn't happen.

They removed the headliner and found the brace across the roof behind the sunroof had come loose and was creating the noise! It's attached from the factory with adhesive so they used factory adhesive to reattach it and installed a new headliner. I should be getting it back tomorrow so I'll let you know if it fixed the issue!

I'm 5 days and 1000 miles from warranty expiration so it won't cost me anything -hopefully if this helps someone else you are still under warranty because I'm sure it isn't a cheap fix.

I notice mine makes was sounds like a rattling sound when the weather strip gets dirty. I open the sunroof and thoroughly clean the perimeter of the weather strip with a wet rag. Then I lubricate it with silicone spray, sprayed onto a towel and wiped on
. Seems to drastically quiet it down.

Read over this thread and replace 'Sun roof' with 'ex-wife' and it is pretty funny
