I have long tubes, high flo cats and stainless works retro chambered 3" cat back. I suggest you start with long tubes and high flo cats first. Go from front to back.

Huh, interesting. Do you guys do it that way for sound reasons, power reasons, or both?

I know I have seen quite a few people going that route, but I must admit I haven't looked into it at all for myself yet.

Sound reasons, totally. I had no drone when i just had the cat back. Now with the LT headers and HFC's....there is some drone. Not a maddening amount, but it's definitely there.

Actually, i should elaborate a little more. LT headers offer the most power, and must have a tune done to avoid a CEL. High flow cats will also offer a power increase. Cat back will offer no power increase (or negligible at best), but offer a LOT of sound. When you think your almost happy with the sound after installing a cat back and decide to go with LT and HFC's............then the sound level is WAY TOO MUCH. Better to start at the front and work your way back.

Thanks for the info!

The more I am looking and listening, LTs with Cats seems like a great way to go, I would prob look to throw a CAI on at the same time to avoid having to retune the car again too soon.

If I wanted to make some more noise I could always upgrade to a magnaflow xpipe and/or an axle back system.

Decisions decisions...

I'm hoping to make this show. As it sits now I work until 8 am that morning so I will get there as soon as I can. I understand it's not always practical to save a spot but it would be appreciated. As for the exhaust system I have long tube headers high flow cats and a Solo catback system. I have zero drone!! My system is quieter going down the road than when it was stock although people have told me it's loud. I also put in exhaust cutouts in case I want to really piss off my neighbors. You are more than welcome to hear the way it sounds.
