Well, sounds like the best bet for HP/TQ gains will be a VMax Ported TB and a CAI Inc intake.

How drastically will the Throttle Body and intake alter the sound?? I had also read a couple thread or two where one of the members mentioned that the intake helped reduced drone...if that's the case, would it be better to install the intake and throttle body before playing with the exhaust?

The intake will make the exhaust slightly louder... quieting drone is not what occurs, but then I don't think it makes it worse either. Lol. The front end of the car will growl with the intake because of the lack of restriction.

Btw. The Solo HFCs, while expensive, are worth it. Felt like a big power bump when I added them, and they're rated as 15-20hp.

While the solo HFCs sound tempting, I'm going to look at that more seriously after the warranty is up...warranty issues kinda freak me out.

Believe me though, it's on my list.

Look into the MBRP catback and a RotoFab cai. nice low growl, no drone. go to Juiced motorsports for a good "power package" deal, they have other combos--good customer service. I did a lot of research and I narrowed it down to the MRT v2 (axle back) and the MBRP (catback). I opted for the MBRP.

Thanks ogre! I checked out the website and it looks like they have a pretty good variety in the performance packages!

Why is that? What will the HFC do if I go with a forced induction system down the line?

I believe those with FI and the HFCs have had issues with the catalyst innards blowing out after a while. Either stock cats or no cats are better with FI, IIRC.

Sounds like the MRT and Solo systems are among the most popular.

Has anyone had a good experience with the SLP Loudmouth 2 or the Power Flo systems?

Also...has anyone had any experience with the new SLP Black Wing CAI system (just checked out their website and it looks like there is a new CAI for the V6.) I know I said that I was going to go with the CAI Inc system, but just saw this one and was curious.

The only way you will notice a performance change with exhaust is to take off the 4 catalytic converters and do a full exhaust set up, anything catback or axle back is going to make a difference in sound but you will not notice a performance change.
Anyone who can actually feel the car being stronger or faster is fooling themselves. It will sound much louder, the horsepower change will be extremely minimal.
