Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

I saw one of these cars last week at a local car show. First off the car was beautiful and the color was amazing. It was a sparkling red, metallic candy paint. The interior was red as well and almost had a basket weave design to the seats. I didn't have a camera and my cell camera is broke so I had to find a pic on google. The guy who owned it was real cool and said it was an '08 and is only 1 of 80 or so in the States. I looked up the price tag and it's about 200k. He started it and revved it a couple times and it sounded amazing, like an italian sports car should.
My Camaro still got more attention at the show, haha

I really like these too... in the current automobile magazine a convertible one is in there and it says its $299K, which is way overpriced imo

0-62 in 4.5 seconds. I dunno seems like it would be quicker for that price.

$299,000 is not overpriced if people are willing to pay that for it. With less than 100 a year, people will pay a lot to be that exclusive.

It's absolutely beautiful.

I expected more performance as well. It sounded nice though.

Its gorgeous, but the price is just too high. My dream C7 Vette is a cross between this and the stingray concept.

whats funny is that it shares the same motor from the f430 and maserati grand sport (the new one) but it's priced around 80k more.... if they simply produced more and priced them comparable it would be a hit... its really an awesome car, but when youre in Murcielago territory i doubt they would find buyers who would sacrafice rarity over performance..

The 8C isn't about performance so much as beauty and exclusivity. According to Top Gear, the 8C doesn't perform well at all, but they still loved it on the show because it was absolutely an absolutely gorgeous work of art.

My dad used to drive an Alfa Romeo, and they're wonderful cars. I would love to have an 8C, even though it isn't going to out perform anything in its price range.
