But would not Corvette (or Chevrolet) have to participate in F1 to learn how to use the technology? I mean, book learning is good but nothing substitutes for real life experience and what could be closer to real life than Formula One racing?

I wouldn't discount the idea of a hybrid Vette, as long as the rest of the range stays true single fuel driven.
It would give tree huggers that want to be cool a shot at actually fitting into society!
