This is from 2002.. Trust me when I say you can't use this as a valid argument when it's 11 years old.

Hold on to your shares. I know a few things because of my professional interaction with them. In January/feb they will have a huge push for leases. They couldnt find an alternative because of unknowns regarding residual values. this means they are financially backing the leasing program themselves. This is public, but the size and scope isnt. the applications they are standing up are for larger volume than one would think. They'll profit heavily on the interest.
I'd bet a solid commission check that first half 2014 earnings report is impressive. |

Considering the bulk of their profits come from selling credits to GM and not selling cars, this would be a big step.
I think MT had the article last month on Tesla being the true Government Motors. $7,500 per sale incentive from the Federal government, another $2,500 incentive from many state governments and the no interest loan from the DOE all add up to the plus side simply based on legislation all in the favor or Tesla. $51 Million alone from selling California emissions credits.

I hope everybody drives an electric car one day. That way gas will be cheap when I want to drive my own car.

Now there's the logic!!! I think the stock can take a hit if reliability is questioned. I know there were fire issues but the momentum is still there. Hey, its an American company ran by a very motivated CEO making high tech vehicles built in America. I don't have stock but I hope they are successful. I also hope they look at other solutions besides electricity like biodiesel from blue algae or hydrogen. Electricity isn't "green". |

Apparently New Jersey just banned Tesla's direct-to-consumer car sales model :(

I think when Tesla comes out with an affordable EV, those stock will skyrocket. Congrats!
An EV isn't for everyone. They will never be. I have a Nissan Leaf as a daily commuter. I have racked up 5,000 miles on it so far, and spent 0.00 on gas / oil. My electric bill has skyrocketed a whooping 20 bucks a month. There are a handful of Charging stations in my city that offer a charge for free. So when I have a free hour and want to walk around downtown, I plug her in for free. That said, you will do good on those stocks!! |

$20 bucks per month vs. $240 for gas per month. Hmmm. I don't like them because of the range. If that's resolved, then I'm sold!! |
