I have always encouraged my husband to buy all the toys he's wanted, I like toys too. Never even gave it a second thought. Always been confident that if he was even considering it, then we could definitely afford it.

Im in the same boat. My wife is a car girl too. The only drawback is that there is no checks and balances when it comes to car purchases because of that. It can get very expensive having two car nuts married to each other. Lol

I had a long gone girlfriend make a similar comment about a muscle car I owned. I told her I had the car before her and would have it after.
