Hood pins

I just ordered a CF copo hood. I think I may just go ahead and install hood pins. I'm afraid of the hood lifting. I'm trying to decide what style of hood pin to get. I'may looking at the aero flush mount and the old school ones with the lanyards. Does anyone have pics of our cars with hood pins?

I had purchased aerocatch pins for my cowl hood then returned them because I couldn't find a good spot for them. They are huge and my CAI intake was in the way in that corner. The cowl hood shakes at highway speeds and I need something to pin it down. I'll probably end up with regular hood pins for safety. This forum hates hood pins but I don't want my hood to flip back on me, it's happened to a few buddies of mine with aftermarket hoods.

I've had a factory hood rip off before. It sucks. I'm worried about the shimmy of the hood. I'm slowly shifting my car to look like a drag car. Raised white letter tires, copo hood etc

Although mine is fiberglass I wasn't comfortable with the hood shaking. The aerocatch latches weren't going to work for me so I might go with traditional pins when I get my cowl hood back on.

I wanted to post a picture of my hood pins installed. I know this forum isn't a fan but I really like the way the lanyards look on my car.

How clean did your cuts/drilling underneath turn out? Looks good though.

drilling went well. my pins have 4 mounting holes. I only used the 3 closer to the center of the car. I put my pins in the outer bumpers holes. I took the whole front end off of the car too.
