Update!
Ok folks, after countless hours of R&D, we are finally starting to see some great results with our 2016 CAI!! Just like the ZL1, this application has proven to be extremely challenging in terms of meeting a performance level we are satisfied with. We have designed and tested 20+ prototypes since my first post. Since then, we have redesigned the air box, M.A.F. housing, inlet elbow and the filter. A few hose clamps are all we have retained since our first working prototype!
We will update this thread towards the end of next week as we hope to get on the dyno with this version. I would like to thank you all for your interest in the Roto-Fab CAI, and also for the great amount of patience you have shown! |

We are making power over stock with our current configuration (especially at higher RPMs), but it's still not where we want to be. Our plan is to continue to develop and improve on what we have. This is by far our most time consuming intake in terms of development. That being said, we remain confident it will be one of our best yet.
Please keep in mind the amount of time the 2016 Camaro has been available and take a look at the number of dyno sheets you see showing positive gains from a CAI system. This is a challenging project to say the least! We are close, but that's not good enough for us...or you. |
