Well that just took the fun out of the Nurburgring name. At least when the Cobalt SS did the ring, it set a decent time.

Reminds me of the joke about a Russian newspaper headline about a Race between the USA and USSR.

USSR finishes second in race, USA finishes next to last!

They fail to report that there were only two in the race....

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit... Even the Prius got a record on the track hahaha

"Yes, a Toyota Prius just set a lap record at the ‘Ring, but it had nothing to do with speed. Its 20 minute, 59 second time was practically walking speed compared to the sub-seven minute times clocked by the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder.
Instead, Toyota pursued a record no one else would have considered. Achieving 581 miles per gallon over the 12.9-mile circuit, a Prius Plug-In Hybrid is now the most fuel-efficient car ever to lap the Nurburgring."

It sounds like Toyota is missing the point of a "track".

I'm just glad that it was Toyota Thailand and not a global push for this "special edition." *sigh*
I miss when Corolla's actually were sporty for the price. Sad to think my old AE86 GT-S and AE92 GT-S and TE72 3tc-powered (built engine though) Corolla all had the same horsepower or more as the new one... and they were all 80's cars.

Except that the Nurburgring is "just a toll road."
