Anyone Painted their Door Tweeters?

I'm debating about painting my Door Tweeter IOM. I'm trying really hard to get everything on the interior color matched, but wondering if the tweeters would be overkill. Anyone done this by any chance? I've seen some really nice interiors on here, and trying to get mine added to that list. Just dont want to overdue it.

Were you planning the entire triangular piece or just the circular grille-like part? I'd be interested to see how that turned out.

Get a photo shop first. May contrast with the door panels, but may not

I think it would be cool... just mask off the speaker area imo

What I've been thinking about is painting the honeycomb in the air vents and dropping a dim LED in there... haven't figured out how yet...

It's a matter of personal preference or opinion.

To me it would look out of place, as the surrounding trim is all the same color.

Go for it! Not enough color in that area and it'll match the rest of the interior. It will look good!

DO IT, I DID =)

It's different, but looks great if you have other pieces colored to compliment it. I also did the door locks (not pictured). Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

RneLLy18c.. you are a godsend!! You just convinced me!! I wasn't sure about doing the outside of the tweeter, and masking off the mesh, or masking off the outside, and painting the mesh.. That looks PHOENOMINAL!! You actually did the panel inside the armrest of the door also.. I actually didnt think of that. Were you able to remove the window controls, or just mask them off?

I also never would have thought of the HUD control panel, or the center of the steering wheel Airbag.. I bet that thing sparkles in the sunlight. The speedometer bezel and the steering wheel bezel are next on my list to paint, but the thought of removing the Airbag scares the crap out of me!!

I also thought of painting the mesh around the door Speaker, but wasnt too sure if the vibrations over time would cause an adhesion failure.

You have a beautiful interior. Nicely done, and thanks for sharing your pic. It convinced me. I'll paint the tweeter when I paint my kick panels I just made. (Which I see, you have those too... haha.)

I agree with this. But that's my preference. The surrounding pieces are one color so I would keep it to match.
