Engine build is only available on the ZR1 and the Z06. It might be available on the grand sport coupe (dry sump version) since that engine is also made in the performance build center.

EDIT: They haven't announced anything about the engine build experience for the Stingray. It may be available on base models since they're moving the buld center down to Bowling Green.

Museum Delivery and Personalized Plaque are the closest publicly announced experience/option right now for the new Stingray.

If (when) I end up getting a C7 I would love to do the museum pick up. visited there last year for the first time and had a great experience. I'd love to add to that the feeling of picking up my new ride.

Actually not even close to that... looks like Chevy is just offering a personalized plaque option that will be ordered straight from your dealership:

Hi all, first post. I plan on a CGM/Kalahari LT2....in a few yrs.
If I opt for the $600 Museum delivery, does it negate the $900 Destination Charge? Thus theoretically I save $300???

Thanks,
Scotty

I will be including the museum delivery on the price sheet without a doubt. Plan the vacation so you pick the car up at the beginning of the trip and then drive the bejebus out of it for the rest of the week.

It's a metal plaque underneath the nav screen. Stock it just comes with Stingray I believe, you can put whatever you want on it, within reason I'm assuming.

The museum delivery is RPO code R8C and it is $480.00. As already stated you get a personal tour of the museum and i believe the plant. You do not however get to watch your car being built. When you order the car with this option you will be informed when at some point when your car will be completed and then you set the date that you will arrive.

When you arrive your car will be out on Main street (a large area with in the museum). You GM rep will not only give you your tour, but he/she will go over all of the features of the car. Once everything is completed, they will drive the car out of the building and the museum staff will all line up and applaud as you leave.
