New defintion for status level 4000

4D00 - Vehicle on Hold - BH - BATCH & HOLD - PLANT

I came across the above and it seems to me this is not the definition I am used to but it also seems to be a more accurate reflection of what 4000 is.

4200 is defined as shipped but only means dispatch has been given control; it normally takes two days (minimum) for dispatch to actually get the unit loaded and on its way.

I have not seen any indication that loaded transporters are leaving Bowling Green but fully expect that they will start leaving Thursday.

Some dealers have posted west coast bound Stingrays will be transported by train. I truly hope they are wrong.

I am in Bowling Green right now and will be at NCM tomorrow, however, we had nothing else to do today and it is raining so we drove around the plant to the back where there are a couple spots by the power substation where you can see cars in the back lot. I could see two to three rows of wrapped cars also there was at least three or more transporters loaded with wrapped cars, employees were leaving the plant so we couldn't stop to get pictures, I have a good telephoto and it was raining hard.

In a nutshell they are being wrapped and loaded on transports

Excellent news. We should ever under estimate the value of boots on the ground.

Looks like today (Thursday) is the day. I am thinking west coast destined trucks will leave this morning and as the days go by those destined for the closest dealers will be loaded by Saturday and C7s could very well be at the various dealerships on Monday and Tuesday.

Of course as far as I know there is no official announcement of a shipping date. Who amI kidding, as far as I recall there is no official announcement that regular production has started.

I posted in this section somewhat by mistake as I had made a few failed attempts and I was actually surprised when this post took.
