That's quite a jump for Ford, I'm guessing that bump in sales is due to the marketing of the '13 GT500

I see all kinds of ads for Mustangs on TV, online, and in print. I almost Never see any kind of ads for Camaros or Challengers.

It can't be, because prod.Nr of GT500 is 5,000 a year or 400 a month.

i was gonna say, but i think what he means is the commercials they've been running. that's a big spike, but ford has been playing the heck out of their mustang commercial on tv.
where as Chevrolet does next to no marketing for the Camaro.

Look at their incentives: $2500 + low int financing on the hood of most 2012's

No, it's likely due to the fact that the 12's have 0% interest for 60 months.

The 2013 Mustangs have started hitting the dealers...I've seen a few 2013 GTs on the streets here and Killeen, Texas isn't a big market so I am sure there are many more in the bigger markets already.

I still don't like the ass end of Mustangs but the 13's look better than the 11's and 12's at least.

I do not mind see oceans of Mustangs out there... there are so many of them, that they all just blend into the traffic. Camaros still retain a little exclusivity, because the freeway is not carpeted with them. They are still not common enough to simply blend in... Camaros still turn heads!

I did my part to try to boost 5th Gen sales in May.

BTW my area is crawling with Camaro's. It used to be Mustang city here in Alexandria, but I'm starting to see a 2 to 1 ratio of Camaros to Mustangs lately.

I wasn't saying from sales of the '13 GT500, from the fact that it's the most HP of any production engine, it's puttting down insane performance numbers, people eat that up and will buy a version of the Mustang they can afford to have something in the same family. If the ZL1 had been more of a beast Camaro sales would have probably increased more.

Yeah cause the '13 Mustangs are already at the dealers. When the '13 Camaros show up the '12's will be 0% so they can move them too.
