SCPA5 June 7th Meet - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok guys. Our next SCPA5 meet is Saturday June 7th and it is just under two weeks away. I have seen several comments in the threads about having the next meet at the QS&L in York this time. If we do go with the meet in York on the 7th we may have to compete for space at the QS&L with the Hot Rods since that is York Hot Rod Week. We may have to consider a different time and place for this meet.

I was talking with DRKS1D3 the other evening at the Markets at Shrewsbury Car Show and he made a nice suggestion, that we could meet at the Rita's in York at 4PM on June 7th. His dad and a friend grab the corner of the Rita's parking lot to watch the Hot Rods cruise by into the evening. It sounds like it would be a great car themed event for us to have a meet. Plus there are a few places to get food and refreshments located right in that parking lot.

Does this sound like a good event for us? If so please comment and RSVP so we can create a list of who plans to attend. We will need to know how many are attending so we can grab enough spots in the parking lot.

Currently planning on attending. My +1 may need some convincing, but I'm pretty sure I'll be there.

Think you guys will be there at that Rita's in the evening? I work til 6 PM and probably wouldn't be up that way there til 7:15-7:30

Well this will be my first time watching the Hot Rods so I am not sure how long they cruise, but if they are still cruising at 7:30 I will still be there. Maybe DRKS1D3 could give us an idea how long the Hot Rods cruise.

I missed last year, but from what I remember the cruise lasts until around dark. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

There's parking lot car shows after dark. I remember after things started to get a little quieter on Rt. 30 last year that we found a couple of car gathering spots. One being the shopping center parking lot at Pennsylvania Ave. Rod Saboury had a C2 with an LS9 in it there last year.

Sounds like there is more to do that night than I knew, so I will add you to the possible list with the hopes that we can finally meet you. JK...
