Front License Plate Holder

I'll be moving to TX soon, and I don't want to drill into my front bumper to install the factory front license plate holder. Can some Texans shed some light onto some alternatives for me?

Thanks in advance!

Brian

I live in Texas (DFW area) and I don't have a front liscense plate. As long as I don't give a cop a rason to pull me over, I have not had any trouble. Also, if you keep your car clean, the "I am just coming back from/heading to a car show and took it off" excuse has worked. They usually understand.

Do the toggle bolt mod that on here. I live in TX, but Im always traveling to and from OK. So when I go through TX, I put on my front plate with the toggle bolts that are held to the lower grill. When I get to OK, I take it off.

Ya need to follow this thread ....the law requiring or enforcing the plate is screwed up because of a legislature mistake:

Mines in the cargo net in the trunk; facing forward. Not my fault is they forgot their x-ray glasses.

i use an Altec front tag to avoid drilling my bumper. Watch hitting it while driving over bumps cause you can bend it. Overall works well and should meet all the legal requirements like in my state.
