What is different other then the Transmission tune?

Thats a loaded question buddy.

HPtuners is a tuning suite that gives you access to all of the calibration data in the tune, and you are able to adjust any and everything you want.

I'm pretty sure you are somewhat familiar with our products, as they come with preloaded tunes and limited adjustable parameters in a user friendly interface. The Predator or Trinity can then be loaded with custom tunes created with our CMR software to compensate for any changes you may make to the vehicle.

One gives you the capability to change virtually anything you want, and the other one gives you canned calibrations to load into the car.

Ok, B/c we have a custom tune done from Lew and my Dad thinks hes tranny is messed up from a dyno tune from someone else. Took the car to the dealer today and they have no clue what a flash is for the tcm! Called IPS today to see if they could tune the tranny only but said they would do both, we have a good engine tune for the car already. I called a few dealers today and finely found one that knew what a TCM flash is! So they are going to check his transmission to see if its set to stock or not. They said they can reflash it back to stock if needs be.

Well, as much as I wish it were not the case, the Trinity in no way could have screwed up the TCM flash...

That is the thing. No way the Predator can wright to the TCM.The Dyno tune fore the ECM would only come out. So thank you. Only thing that the guy did was make the thing phat. Not your Boy,lol. That tune seams pretty darn good to the one that was in the thing.

I've been reading the HP Tuners forum, and it also allows flashing an HPT operating system to replace the GM OS. The Diablo only makes changes to the database. I suspect that GM can detect that the OS has been flashed even if you put it back to stock. But they can't tell that the database has been flashed when it is changed back to stock.

Maybe Diablo can comment on this.

With flash counters, yes they can. As far as I'm concerned, anybody that claims different is full of @#$%. I would agree completely that it can't be picked up on previous PCMs.

HP Tuners does not flash the operating system every time. There's write calibration, and there's write entire. Write calibration simply rewrites the "database" as you called it... just modifying the values in the various tables. Write entire actually rewrites the entire operating system/source code.

HP Tuners has the capability to write a new operating system... but it doesn't always do that. The only time that's really neccessary is when you need the enhanced operating system because of a boosted setup.

How do U go back to stock with the HP If its not a hand held? Just seams way easier to stay with Diablo.

yeah... they totally hosed your car's setup with the "tunes" they put on that thing man....

did you ever get the stock original tcm/tranny tune put back in it???

Its at the Dealer now. One that knew what we where talking bought!!! They have no clue what a flash is!!! Out of 3 dealers, 1 almost an hour away said we can flash! Dumb, they could not believe it either! Oh yeah the dealer that had no clue said to stay off this site!

Yep, what a bunch of do not even know how to say ,lol. The service manger said they get a million bulletins a year and they just throw them out!
