They do mention it could be canceled at any time. I’d like to see the Z06 engine and some chassis lightening to help set a new Lightning Lap record for the Camaro ICE. No doubt these will be $100K+ (given ZL1 1LE’s are now over $80K) if they get build and dealers will ask $150K and get it.

The article describes a parts bin car that may be possible at a non-prohibitive extra cost, the most expensive swap being the LT6. Not saying it will happen, it's up to gm, but at least it isn't completely outlandish. They could also just keep the LT4 and change the body.

I'd be first in line but, where are the test mule sightings? A car like this would require a lot of testing. Proving Grounds? The Ring?

Oh, don't get me wrong...I DO WISH they'd come out with a banger of a farewell car, but since Al Oppenheimer left the Camaro it's been all downhill and pretty much guaranteed that all that is coming out is a badging/sticker package, maybe some wheels and other SMALL cosmetic things. Since production is starting around August 7th 2023 and ending in January of 2024, that pretty much guarantees LIMITED numbers of Camaros and "Collectors Edition" packages. Nothing big is coming for our beloved Camaros sadly. I mean, let's be real...GM can't fulfill orders and allocations for people NOW...I really don't see it changing in the next 9-10 months, in fact, it COULD very well get worse for people wanting Camaros.(let's hope not!)
