I purchased the same exact one off of Amazon and it was only like $350. I really hope you didn't drop 1K on that....

I had a 30% off code in my email for Mishimoto. I ordered their intake. 280 plush shipping. I'm doing red and black under the hood and already have the Mishimoto black and red catch can.
I haven't looked up the Dynos yet to confirm, but they claim +14 whp and torq.

I think he was referencing the intake manifold...which is indeed a $1000 part..

Yeah i have a friend who has the older gen 13 Camaro and we race pretty much every weekend and after installing this cold air intake we raced again race was no wear near close on the start as it usually is. So i saw a big diff on my take off

And no didn't pay 1000 for the cold air intake i paid that much for the intake manifold

Please, when you add a picture to a thread explain what it is you're displaying. Don't assume all member understand what the picture represents. Just add a few details. Thanks...

So did you race after just the cold air intake, or was that after the intake and manifold? I assume both...

The intake manifold doesn't do anything without a tune. Even with a tune, you're only netting a few horsepower. Your car will settle down after the CAI install once it learns to adjust. Again, looking at HP per dollar, not a great value. All this money could've gone into your forced induction savings pot. I know it's hard to resist, but it all adds up. You've already broken warranty so you might as well cut your loss now, sell this stuff and get a blower. Trust me when I tell you, you wake up to Christmas morning every single day you step into that car. It's night and day and I didn't even go crazy with mine. I know you're not going to listen to me and buy a ported throttle body next, but hey I had to try lol

I have to agree with that. You also have to be careful of the large particle size that will pass through some of these low restriction filters. Not good.

Agreed. Having modded cars before, bolt ons will only get you so far and you probably won't even be able to tell much difference by seat of pants. You will need a dyno and track times to measure the difference. I say the same thing, if you want really want more power just bolt on a supercharger and call it a day.

I've heard the intake doesn't do much after the car adjusts for it, I actually got it more for the looks. Red and black under the hood. True there are a lot of variables when racing.
