Aviation Warfare Systems Operator Second Class C/SAR helo crewman.

Flew in H-60's and deployed on carriers.

Cool, my brother-in-law is a Lieutenant Commander. He is currently station in Rhode Island, but has spent the last 6 months in Iraq.

A little over 6 years in the US Army. I was 29Y/31S- 1C. Satellite Communications Maintenance Technician and a Satellite Controller. I still work in the same field as a Contractor for the AF.

I brought her back from japan. My helo squadron had SAR duty for the Kitty Hawk on the way to Hawaii. We met the Indy there and cross decked to her for the return trip back to SD. Man the Indy was beat down. Rode hard and put up wet.

MA huh. Well go easy on those guys. You have the power to really jerk your shipmates around if you wanted. Not that you do. I just remember how much I dreaded hearing an MA say, "Hey Sipmate!" It usually wasn't wasn't something good...

Damn, small world. I was on that cruise back to the states as well. Probably bumped into each other at some point. Nah, I was never the "better than you" tough guy MA that some were. No place in the world for people like that.
