If you're not 100% sure and have some reservations about making the switch, then I strongly agree with STUNNAH - stand pat with what you have. My purchase regrets have usually come from rushing forth into a decision when my heart just wasn't into it.

That being said, I'd jump on a C7Z at a moment's notice if I didn't need the Camaro's rear seats for my young boys. They are amazing cars, and I've seen some killer pricing on them.

I really like the C7 Corvette. Especially the Grand Sport and Z06 body styles. With winter coming, there's also a bunch good deals in my area.

I seriously considered trading in my '13 ZL1 for Z06 or Grand Sport but I had two big reservations with the C7. One was the ability for my wife and I to easily get in and out of the car. My wife has issues getting in and out of my ZL1 so accessibility for her was likely going to be worse with a C7. The other, and biggest issue for me, is that everyone and their brother seems to have a C7 Corvette. You see them everywhere. The 5th gen Zl1 is a rare car to see on the streets and I think the gen 6 ZL1 will be the same. I like having something that's a bit unique.

What about the new ZL1 with the LT4 as well. The Nurburgring run seems pretty damn impressive. It may not be full C7 Z territory but I bet it is still one hell of a ride for less coin and still decent room for your legs.

I tend to hold onto good cars. Although the Z06 somewhat outranks the ZL1 in performance, you have to consider all areas of satisfaction, and whether the Z06 can satisfy your car wants as well or better than the Zl1.

A friend has a 2015 z06 and every time i talk to him he says its a weight thing. C5 zl1 heavy. If i would have seen a 2014 vette before i saw this my zl1 I'd be in it. (Not a z06. Too pricey cant see payin 1k/m
for a car.) Would've taken a little more convencing. The wife u know. If u don't need the back seat and can afford it. Go 4 it. U have your wife's blessing.

C7 Z for me. I love the Camaros, but the Z's looks cannot be beat.

I'd appreciate some input if anyone has any similar experience here. I absolutely love my ZL1, but this is a Z06 Corvette. Would I regret getting rid of the Camaro... #1842 of 1850... or would the Z06 take its place quickly? Our ZL1's are just incredibly unique and look sooooooooo AWESOME... Any input would be appreciated.

BTW that's my favorite color. Saw one at the dealer, CARMAX, before i got my Zl1, but it was just there to be smogged. Already purchased.

I was in the same decision making quandary a few months ago!
I ended up keeping my ZL1 and buying a Z06/Z07, no regrets!!
Both cars are awesome and each one has their own personality.
Good luck with your decision.

I don't think I want to push my luck with the wife unit the Z06 is a 2LZ so it's got plenty goodies, but congrats on your Z07 that's a BEAUTY... Wanna share a picture of it...

I work for Chevrolet here on Long Island. Driven the z06, z28, zl1 which I own...at the end of the day, sure the betters are great. I still get more looks in my zl1 with its cam than I do in any of the z06 I've driven around. Can't beat the size difference, price difference and, with a little money handling and power similarities.

Toss 15k more to your camaro and call it a day. She'll be making you turn to look back at her for years to come.

I actually prefer the classic prettiness and quietly stated aggression of the C6 ZR1 to the C7 Z06's in your face cool factor. I realize I'm probably in the minority here though. Performance wise, the C7 Z06 (And most Corvettes) can easily and smoothly out perform muscle cars.

If I was in your seat, I would buy the Z06. But if you're happy with your current ZL1 and don't wish for more performance or the "latest" Vette (Until the C7 ZR1 comes) then stick with what you got.

Be sure to check and see if they fixed the overheating problems on it. Normally only show up if you track the car.

I started to get the Z07 but found out about the overheating issues and then saw the new ZL1. I'm going with the ZL1.

With that said, your money. Enjoy it what you like better
