There is... I keep it locked in my trunk.

This thread brings back memories of a time I had my'69 RS (work in progress) where as I walked into the house in from the pouring rain.

Wife says: I didn't hear your car pull in, why are you soaked?
Me: I got a flat.
Wife: Where is the car?
Me: About a mile down the road.
Wife: You don't have a spare?
Me: Yes, I do.
Wife: No Jack?
Me: Yes , I have a Jack.
Wife: Well then why did you walk home?
Me: Because I didn't have a screwdriver to open the trunk.

YOU still have more problems coming:By just jump starting and running your car without charging the battery with a battery charger the alternator diode were overloaded and your alternator with probably begin to fail shortly. The alternator is not designed to charge a dead battery but only to keep a good battery charged

I LOL'd hard at this

you could wire in a relay to those neons. so that they can only be on when your key is in the RUN or ACC position, while still having a switch to turn them on and off while your driving. That way if your key isn't in the ignition you don't have to worry about them killing your battery.

you guys do know this reference right?

the original poster is a ri-tard.

hahaha

I don't think that's correct. It's far more likely that all the electrical systems that do keep running on low power (security systems, sensors for door locks etc etc). After 3 or 4 weeks those things have run the battery down enough to require a jump start.

The Impala's we use as police cars suffer the same problem if stored for more than a couple weeks.....and there isn't a computer that shuts off the car, battery just runs out of juice.

I was working on my 1992 Subaru one day. I had the windows and doors closed and left the keys in the car. I disconnected the battery for safety. When I was finished I reconnected the battery and heard the dreaded click of the power locks. I only had one key. It took me twice as long to pick the locks then it did to actually make the repairs. Now whenever I'm working on a car I always open the drivers window.

So the one with neons on his car has a dead battery because they left them on. Didnt know he could hook the jumper cables up under the hood because he cant read the users manual and didnt know what the little handle thing with a picture of a person jumping out of the trunk on the trunk lid was for.... WOW, so many things I could go on and on about here."Here's your sign!"
