it's not illegal illegal cause we don't have emission test or maybe we have and they don't bother with it Idk I never had it done on any of my cars nor I have seen it done.but they can fine you if your car is loud it depends on the cop.what I did is I inserted the LT's with an x-pipe and kept the stock mufflers and whenever I come near a roadblock and he ask me If I had an exhaust I tell him no go and check and so far it seems to be working knock on the wood.
BTW Lt's are a must big difference in performance.

The one I have is this one
Which is ARH 1 7/8 with AR x-pipe except no cats.the xpipe is 3 inches and it reduces to 2 1/2 inches at the back to be connected to the stock mufflers.you require minor cutting and welding at the end.the h-pipe is still intack and you can reinstall it any time you want. Aaah I hope you got the picture I'm very bad at explanations if you want you can pm me your number and I more than happy to show you P.s You can always go with the short system if you have a catback just remember the stock mufflers are straight through design and very effective
