People if you cant park it, dont drive it.

Went to a Applebee's and when I came out this is what I saw. Can not believe some people. When I backed the car up there is a small (end of pen sized) gouge in the bumper cover. The lady was apologizing the how time and saying they need to make larger parking spots. I guess I will decide whether or not I am going to have it fixed. Its more the point of keep your junk off my car.

I probably would have lost it, then again I park so far away it would have to take someone with some real nerve to do it. sucks!

Firstly, YES get it fixed. Do not let other people dictate the condition of your car just because they are idiots.

Secondly that really sucks.

Most place DO make the parking spaces too small. I'm not excusing her, just saying.

I don't park anything that I have that is nice in such a way that anyone could do that though.

Send a message via AIM to 2011ss/rs
I would have been waiting for the driver to come out.

What was she driving? It looks like another GM product like a Silverdo or some other body-on-frame vehicle. Many people who drive big trucks like that don't know the size of them. I try to park in the back of lots and in spaces where I can pull forward so I don't have to back out since our cars have such poor visibility.

This is the reason i park my full size truck (crewcab standard bed) along the perimeter of a small parking lot. Allows me to back in and have the back of the truck hang over into the grass. No reason for her to try to park there if it was "to small"

She was driving a 4 door chevy 2500. Went back in the restaurant to find the driver. Got the insurance info and left. Really sucks.

There was plenty of parking elsewhere. It's a shame because I parked elsewhere a moved there because the first spot was under a tree and didn't want anything to fall on it. Can't win sometimes. I wI'll clean it up this week and see what I can do.

In 02 I bought a new hyundai elantra, the next day I parked it on the side street. Came out the next morn to find a Dodge Grand Caravan parked on the rear of my bumper.

Not exaggerating.

I was sooo mad, I punched his rear D pillar so hard not only putting a huge dent init, but also braking 3 fingers.

Point is, I know how you must feel, just take a breather and gather your thoughts. Its going to work its self out in the long run.

Another safety tip:

You're almost to the white line with your nose. Granted, she is in the wrong and is over it, but her being wrong doesn't fix it from not happening. In a situation like this, if I had to park there with something nice, I'd have sooner let the car be out a bit further in the back and left more like 2 to 2 1/2 feet before the line (giving extra room for people who "hang over the line"). That said, I would have also backed in.
