Seating wise is pretty close, but Explorer has way more cargo room behind the third row. 21 compared to 12.8

Other than that they are really close

Explorer cargo room

81.7 behind first row compared to 79
43 behind second row compared to 41
21 Behind 3rd row compared to 12

I agree..it's just like the comparison of the full-size Tahoe and Expedition. The Expedition has traditionally had slightly more room but the Tahoe sold more by far in no small part because of it's maneuverable size and fuel economy advantage. The outgoing Acadia model along with it's siblings are great but can be harder to maneuver in tight parking spaces and it just reminds me of a crossover based Suburban more than a Tahoe in relative size. GM will offer the shorter wheelbase along with an extended wheelbase version for Chevy I presume to cover all the bases.

I like it. Finally looks like an SUV as opposed to some minivan/SUV crossbreed.

Saw a truckload of them this morning on I-75 but didn't get a chance to snap a picture. There was a red denali that looked pretty nice but I thought they looked pretty short, almost wagon-like

The first 2 pics of the black one looked a little Dodge Durango-ish to me. Not a good or bad thing, but that is what first came to mind when I viewed it.
