Hey guys, I have a 2018 Camaro 2SS, and I picked up a Escort Passport 8500 for a good pre black Friday deal from Amazon.
I live in NJ so we have a State inspection sticker on the driver-side front windshield and i would like to mount my Escort behind the inspection sticker ,so its not easily seen. The front of the detector sensor wont be covered, there is room under the inspection sticker that its not blocked, and has a clear view out the windshield.
First question is, will this effect the radar detector's performance? I have seen them mounted high like on the mirror, but i don't really like the look up there, plus i want to put a dash cam up there soon...
Second question, is there a 12 volt wire to tap into to power up the radar detector someplace under the steering wheel?
