Z/28 is a great car but a 6th Gen IMHO is just so much better in creature comforts, ect... Carbon brakes will cost a small fortune to replace.

What are you doing with the car? Z28 is an amazing track car with LS7 and carbon ceramic brakes but wouldnt make for a good daily (standard with no radio or AC). 17 1LE can be driven everyday and is one of the best track cars out there for the money. 2SS has all the luxury options and still fun to go fast in.

I really enjoyed my 2015 Z-28 equipped with optional AC and stereo radio. It ran like a scalded dog, sounded great and got plenty of positive comments from onlookers at car shows. Amazingly enough, the car even got a Sunday Award at Goodguys. After rowing the six speed through Dallas/Ft. Worth traffic for a couple of years, I traded the Z for a loaded to the gills, 2018 SS Redline Convertible with Performance Exhaust. After bringing the Vert home, I installed the GM Cold Air Intake on it and hooked up a Forza exhaust controller for some additional sound. I like the size of the 2018, it handles great with Mag Ride, sounds wicked, and gets plenty of positive stares from people. I haven't tracked either car cause I'm more of a waxer than a racer but the seat of the pants feel from the SS is very close to the Z-28. I suspect the 8 speed auto and the Cold Air Intake have something to do with that. Everything considered, I'd go with the SS over the Z because of the combination of creature comfort and plenty of power from the the LT1. And, if I get bored, I can always add a blower!

Yea I realy like all the luxury that comes w the 2017 2ss.. I just think the z sounded a lil more mean.. I want to get something that sounds the most aggressive stock.. it’s too hard and realy expensive to do any “legal” mods in Bay Area... I’ve seen that the 15 z and 17ss r runnin pretty much same in 1/4 mile.. but again, I realy like the looks and sound of the 15z... but just wondering if it’s worth it losing all the other luxury’s for it

And then I also realy don’t like the fuel management on the autos.. the only auto I’ve seen that they do w out the cilinder deactivation is on the zl1’s.. wich I’m considering too but the 2013 zl1 seems to b closest to my price range

I was close to pulling the trigger on a 2015 Z in AGM. It had 900 miles, and was an AC car. Price was $44,900. A great deal at the time, but i just couldn't sell myself on the Gen5's interior, so i went with a 2017 SS 1LE.

Yea I don’t care too much for it either. Just love the way the z looks from outside... sooo confused.. can’t make up my mind... it’s either 2015 z28, 2013 zl1, 2017 2ss (if I can find in white or black, only found the 1ss so far).. and possibly, POSSIBLY 2017 1le if I can learn more about what it will take to bring a car from Nevada to ca and how much that’ll cost.. only found 1 2017 1le within 200 miles from me and under 40k but it sold within 2 days

If this is going to be your daily driver, the 6gen ss would be much easier to live with and less costly to maintain. The z28 is cooler and more unique imo.
If hitting the track regularly and or a weekend car the z28 would be great. Best if both worlds probably the 6gen 1LE or zl1 even.

+1 that's it exactly the Z28 is the cooler car hands down all day but it would be much harder to live with as a daily.

I believe the 6th gen ss is still quicker/faster than the z/28 in every metric and the interior/technology is miles ahead.

I think someone would get the z/28 for that x factor...not if they are looking for the most capable car.

Buy both and let the Z sit. If it has low mileage, just put a cover over it and keep it for the next 30 years.
