Sun Visor Operation - No Clue

How do the sun visors work on the 5th gen camaro. I tried to pull one down, then pulled harder and something broke and now it just flops. The other one won't move. There must be something I am missing. Please help. Thanks.

Maybe the convertible is different, but the visors on a coupe absolutely flip to the side. I do agree the OP must have broken something.

Just put a piece of dental floss over your eyes. 5th & 6th gen visors are about as useful.

I resolved that problem by making oversized vinyl covers that allow them to actually do something.

The vert ones dont move, AFAIK, I went and sat in mine, and they dont look like they move at all except up and down. From the owners manual:
Sun Visors
Pull the sun visor down to block
glare. Detach the sun visor from the
center mount to pivot it to the side,
if available. <<< dont think verts are available

^^^ This. There is a little plastic clip on the right side that holds the visor in place, you broke that piece, and it is a PITA to get to, but it just screws into a small metal bracket inside the top windshield frame.

If they do, not really sure, when you "pop" it out of the clip, you pull it towards the back a bit, not down, and it should come out of the clip. Most folks think they pull down, but no the pull towards the rear, then it will pull out. Just be careful the clips are fragile!! lol.
