Question HVAC Moisture On Windshield On Going Problem?

Al, would you please share with us Gen6 Camaro Owners when Chevrolet will be issuing a Bonafide Fix Repair for this Very Dangerous Ongoing Problem with the AC Running in Higher Humidity areas of the US and with the AC blowing up through the Defroster Vent into the top of the dash, the Moisture is taking over the entire windshield and causing "0" Visibility Problems for us to see out through the windshield. We would appreciate any and all help you could share on this Very Important Subject. The current Technical Service Bulletin is totally useless and does not fix the problem, as several Gen6 Owners have wasted their time with taking their vehicle into their local Chevrolet Service Department for the fix and to no avail, it has proven unsuccessful. This is a shame for the Gen6 Owners to have to pay a Premium for our Gen6 Camaro's and have to be "Plagued" with this ongoing problem that GM has not fixed correctly for the past 3 models years (2016-2018) to date. Thank you for your assistance!

I sure wish someone with GM would step in and let us all know when to expect a Fix for this ongoing problem with our Gen6 2016-2018 Camaro's!

Leaking AC Mode Doors

The hvac case was inadequately designed so that the mode door could not contain the Blower cfm's at high fan speed.

This causes a fluttering mode door and the obnoxious sound that goes with it.

The solution was to ADD little foam blocks to hold the mode door open further than it's normal leak rate, so it wouldn't make the flutter sound at high fan speed.

Then, more complaints about air on windshield.

Ineffective TSB was released to remove added foam blocks, and reprogram BCM to lower fan speed cfm for high speed setting.

The mode doors still leak.

Door needs more foam weatherstripping. Might be able to get the actuator to pull it tighter.

Poor visibility through the windshield is not only maddening, it is an outright safety hazard.

I'm going to check this BEFORE taking delivery, and will NOT buy ANY car fogging (inside) and causing blinding condensation (outside) on its windshield.

Put a little more foam on the MODE door.

So you are saying that they (GM /or supplier) have NOT applied this fix to current new 2018 production yet ?
