With MY 2019, they changed it to a grossly incomplete QR code on the driver side door jamb, and I have no idea why. That sticker couldn't have cost more than $1 and contained all the build sheet information one would need to know.

I also purchased one for my wife's Malibu Premier. She had a flat and did have to use the spare which her car did not have from the factory.
I think the spare is a very good idea on the ZL1. BUT, there is an issue. If you had a flat with the ZL1 rear, it is a 305 tire, which I don't believe will fit in the trunk, there is doubt that it will fit anywhere inside the ZL1,.....so what do you do with the punctured rim & tire?

Time to call up the flatbed

Yup. Only costs a few bucks a year through your insurance.

Pretty sure the top space is for the Camaro branded optional C-Tek battery charger. At least that's what was pointed out in previous threads.

That large area behind the front seats are perfect because they don’t fit a human, just carry a large plastic bag to cover the tire and protect your seats.

Back on my 1LT, I had stock SS staggered wheels/tire (Eagle F1) and the only way I fit all four was one in the trunk, two back seat, one front passenger. The trunk barely fit.

If the opening between the rear seats and trunk wasn't a trapezoid there could be so much more potential in hauling things, the space is there just impossible to fit anything within the interior confines of the shape

Haha I’m going to send this to my neighbour who has a mustang. We are good friends so he will get the joke.

True, but if you just have to carry one rear tire to get yourself home, that would be the solution, just a clean bag to keep your interior untouched. I think modern spare even supplies a bag to put your flat tire in.

People who have done this in the past just unhook the divider at the bottom and slide the spare under. It's narrow enough to not interfere with the top mechanism. There's more than eight inches available with the top down. Just be sure to keep the snaps on the top of the divider connected so the sensor there will allow the top down. There have been some threads about this several years ago. I think with pictures.

And the top would still go down above it?

Gun storage or maybe an infant/toddler in that space at the top of the picture.
