Gas?
Just got my C7, I've been putting premium in it. Not sure where my manual is, anyone figured this out yet?

And if you put in a small amount best to run a half to a gallon into a spare gas can to void the line with the residual 87 left in the line by the last customer.

I suppose that's why you are probably a loser at the drag strip! Do you log your KR when you make a pass! Do you know for sure you have the octane you paid for! I log and when I put in two gallons at a time I make sure it's 93 octane which I'm tuned for and not a lessor number. You will get KR if you mix even small amounts of 87 with 93. Are you sure you know what you are talking about!

Premium 93 octane.
Modern computer managed engines that were designed to use premium will "get by" on lower octane fuel but it should be avoided A Corvette engine with 11-1 compression receives max power and max mpg from burning slow burning premium. The computer controlled engine will adjust to lower octane but the power and mpg drops off, hence, no cost savings Always use premium. |

Premium gas
OWNER'S MANUAL:
Use premium unleaded gasoline [/with a posted octane rating of 91 or higher. I know the manual suggests premium fuel. I've heard the fuel that non brand name companies sell is manufactured by the main line companies. Is there any truth in that, and if so which companies can we count on to get the best fuel for our vehicles. |

You can not, there is no 93 octane pumps in California. You might be able to get 100 octane racing fuel at some of the 76 gas stations but you might have to look around a bit. You can run a blend of 91 and 100 if you really want to run 93 in your car but I caution you the rate is probably $7-8 for 100 octane gas maybe more (I haven't check in a long time). I think your best bet for a 100 octane gas station would be around Newport Beach where Ferrari's, Lambos, Aston Martins, etc live.
