Who actually got caught?

As the title says, who here on the board actually got stopped by an LEO for triple digit speeding and what were the consequences?

For you angels that will come in here saying you never took it over 75mph, save it!

I don't know anyone that have gotten stopped for going that fast, figure you would go straight to jail?

I am guessing one of three things will happen. A) You get a citation with court date and may lose your license; B) Lose license on the spot and taken to jail; C) Officer is Camaro guy and lets you off with a warning.

I'm kinda curious myself as going to jail is usually the outcome but I haven't had the pleasure of being caught..... yet!!!

Haven't been caught in my camaro in the triple digits yet, but I have on my Yamaha R6 doin a little over 120. Got a long lecture from the stater, $300 speeding ticket and I was on my way. Couldn't complain I think I got off lucky.

It was years ago, but I was caught doing 110 in a 55 and got a warning. Having my uniform on and reporting back for a recall may have been a big factor. Would hate to have to tell the trooper that my recall meant sitting in Panama City, Florida while our planes went to Grenada

I am a highway patrol officer just depends exactly what u get caught doing. Were u racing, weaving in and out of traffic or a late night speed session with not a lot of cars on the freeway? Just comes down to the officers judgement call on whether u were being reckless.

If u were driving reckless I would arrest you on the spot and if u werent being reckless and it was ur first offense then u would be issued a fine and have ur license possibly suspended for 30 days by the courts. If this was ur 2nd or 3rd time then thats a different story.

Just depends by state. Here in California anything over 100 is a 2 point infraction. Kiss ur low insurance premium goodbye.
