We've been speaking with Kale at CDC for over a year now on this for several customer's including 2 of our own 6th Gen convertible shop cars, these sport bars completely change the overall look of the verts with the top down and give it a much more aggressive stance in my honest opinion but EVERYONE has their own taste. Me personally, I think these would be a huge hit for the 6th Gens just as they were for the 5th's.

Yeah, I wanted an official thread in which we can keep track of interest.

Bring it!

I wanted to get one for my 5th Gen, but due to repeated top issues, never had the time/money to get one.

I will definitely get one on my 6th gen!

It looks pretty good but I'd want to see one before making a decision.

I had one one my 5th gen. It was the first item I got for it. I spoke with them almost a year ago and asked if they are planning doing one on the 6th. I loved the look on the 5th gen. having said that with the sleek straight line of the 6th Gen. vert. I' not sure what it would look like in person. I'd have to see one installed in my area to make a final decision. i would certainly be interested in seeing it.

I have been looking for a Sports bar but it would have to be something that doesn't need holes drilled. I envision something that attaches like the windscreen. It can sit on a flange with rubber underneath. The flange would be an upside-down L shape with a rod/pin that goes through it. The rod/pin locks into the hole where the windscreen would connect. I will not put holes in my FIFTY.

Forgive my MS paint skils.

FEELER: Gen6 Convertible Sport Bar

I would need something that actually functions as a roll bar and not just for looks. So I'm not opposed to drilling holes. Maybe it can have the option for snapping in and/or drilling.

Nice Sketch BTW!

I wouldn't conceder the one with holes a roll bar. The bar itself has one bolt holding it down and the bracket has 3 small bolts. I can't imagine that will save anyone in a roll. That might be why they call it a "Sports Bar".

Before you said "rod/pin" locks. As long as it bolts to my frame, I'll be fine.

None bolt to the "frame". They bolt to the sheet medal by the door. That thin stuff that holds the rear seat arm rest. You're thinking of a roll bar. That's why it's not considered safe enough for the NHRA.
