Boost Works C7, arrived just in time for Christmas!

We took possession of our new C7 test car this week. Automatic, carbon roof, red interior (didn't really care too much for, but it was in stock), wheels, and will be getting a factory spoiler installed.

We'll be hauling it out to the track for baseline testing. We'll have cameras set up everywhere, checking for driveline/suspension weakness and tendencies. Suspension/Bushing upgrades will be developed from this type of testing. Also, we want to get a feel for the automatic trans, converter, etc..

From there, we'll be starting on our turbo development. For now, the powertrain will remain 100% stock, including exhaust. We want to get an idea of what someone with a stock C7 can expect with this setup. After extensive testing, and revisions (if necessary), we'll build jigs and look at mass production. We look forward to becoming sponsors on this site and working with you guys.

After we get through with baseline testing, we do plan on building the transmission, installing a converter, and developing our own rotating assembly, head studs, cam/valvetrain, and head packages. We will push the envelope and see if we can crack 1000hp or so in the long term.
Stay tuned for updates..

Thanks!

Is there a reason you didn't order a Z51? I would think with the upgrades you are suggesting, you would want all the extra goodies the package offers.

Just curious.

We kicked that around quite a bit, actually. It boils down to this:

The Z51 offers trans and engine coolers. We plan on upgrading these substantially, so the stock Z51 parts wouldn't really be kept in place anyway.

The dry sump really isn't a huge deal for what we're planning on doing with the car long term. The wet sump actually gives us a little more room to work with. We DO plan on building turbo systems for both versions. However, for now, we figured the wet sump car would get us up and running at a faster pace.

The wheels will be changed out for HRE's, so the bigger Z51 wheels would be a waste.

We are having the spoiler installed as part of the deal.

We paid sticker for this car. It was on the lot, and we didn't have to wait on an order. So, it all works out. But, we do plan on visiting the dry sump version once we get some testing under our belt.

Why test a base model?
