FOR US OLD GUYS WITH AUTO, PADDLE SHIFTING STILL IS A LOT OF FUN

For us old guys, Paddle shifting still is a lot of fun. Im glad the zl1 came in auto, I really love that there is no delay when shifting to the next gear. Last night was a great night for a drive and having a lot of fun in my z. In vid love how straight the car keeps you when you punch the gas and paddle to the next gear. What a great car.

Imagine if it was the DCT I've been lobbying for? More fun!

Dual clutch transmission, like Porsches have now. Basically the next gear is already spinning and ready for the shift before you shift. Very fast and smooth.

Ferrari, GT-R, BMW, Porsche, Ford, etc have them. We should too.
Subject was discussed with mark ruess on the latest Motor Trend WOT show.

I'm with you on the tap shifters. The only issue I have is shifting while turning. There is a member on this forum that makes a shifter with buttons on the side, taking the place of your paddle shifters. CFD is his username. Might wanna check him out. I have his shifter in my car and love it.
