It's a vacume gauge also. So it has a use on non boosted engines as well.

The passenger grab handle on the center console looks ridiculously chunky.
I don't think anyone's really meant to hold on using that thing.

We know that it can read vacuum. Why doesnt it read vacuum(inHg) instead of PSI is the question. The gauge itself reads 12PSI max, down to 0, then -12. -12PSI doesnt make any sense and neither does 12inHg(Not enough) if thats what they were implying. Pretty sure its just there for testing at this point.

That is one outstanding looking car !
That is exactly what I would buy....*maybe I'd get the chrome wheels instead of silver*...but other than that....that's perfect ! Love it !

GM said they used one software build for the gauge cluster for all preproduction cars. Some features will get taken out once saleable cars are built.
All this means is some form of forced induction will be making its way into a Corvette soon.

Quote:
"Product Description IPD's illuminated 52mm vacuum boost gauge functions well within the operating range of these models. Gauge reads from 30 inches of vacuum to 30PSI of boost. A great match to the factory R models produced from 2004-2007. This is the gauge only for those that want to custom mount their gauge. This kit includes boost tubing and connectors along with gauge harness pigtail for electrical hookup of gauge illumination." I never saw more than about 15 in vacuum though. This is a Turbo application. - Clayton. Official C5Fail4 hater.
