Led Strips not sticking

Hey guys having a few issues not sure what to do. Bought some LED strips, and the 3m on the backside doesn't stick to the glove box under side, passenger underside of steering wheel or metal shelf in the trunk. Are you guys using something else to make these stick?

Peel the tape off that came with the strips. Go to any auto parts store and get some 3m emblem tape. That stuff will hold better. and prep the surface real well

And don't tape it to the plastic under the glove box, move it forward more (towards the front of the car)

Use rubbing alcohol to clean the area before applying the new 3m tape. A lot of people glob on armor all and nothing can stick to the surface

Adhesive quality on strips varies greatly. If they don't stick, and you prepped correctly, replace the adhesive.

I ordered some new strips, ordered some 3m acrylic tape, and will remove the current adhesive and use alcohol to clean before applying! Thanks guys.

Mine are zip tied for the foot wells.
But my under carriage are mounted the way I stated above.
Like SJM stated The adhesive quality is different between manufacturers. I don't even risk it anymore I peel it off an use the emblem/molding tape.

I'm a noob at this and I'm wanting to mount some LED in my CAI intake. How would I tap into the wiring? I dont want to tap something wrong and set my car on fire.

We have plug-n-play kits for that if you don't want to tap anything. See some examples here...
