It was the funnest 90k of any vehicle I ever owned. But I have a feeling I'll have even more fun with the next engine.

Chris was very helpful on the phone. I will pick their brains some more at the fest.

Just for thoroughness, a brand new stock long block is 4500.00.

Have I learned my lesson and want to just run it back with all stock and no cam?

Probably not.

A long block that I'd want from Livernois would run around 8500.00.

WAY over my budget.

But it would be a plug and play Forged 419 that I could toss in, throw the maggie on and go.

There is also a 396 that I can get for much cheaper, also with forged pistons that would save me enough money to help with the head/valvetrain costs.

It's an expensive buffet that must effectively satisfy all food groups.

I have plenty of time. Gotta save some money.

you've got so many stories packed into these past 3 yrs about how "the car's doing this", "the car did that", "the car broke my ____"...
i hate that i ain't been able to be more help, even the times i came over to take stuff apart or reinstall.

hopefully i don't have to go this route for my forged stroker... i'm already on this road towards a build TR6060 swap. ever since Road Atlanta, trans fluid has been slowly migrating from the inside of the case to my garage floor

Vette parking is not at the host hotel. It's down the street at the waffle house.
