Thank you Chris. Please be patient as I am now oug of town bowling a tourney. I'll get the cam specs. It's a Vengeance stage 1 comp. As far as compressiin, whatever is friendly with my blower to add some power and be safe as far as boost. power numbers I haven't really thought about. more than I was for sure since the opportunity is here. I was at 560 torque and power.

I believe these are the specs on the cam he is/was running!

223/227 .610/.614 114+4

I looked it up but for some reason I want to say these are new specs! Seems like the older ones ran a 115+3! But not totally sure!

No need to worry about getting back to me quickly. We are here because of your needs. PQ we could always spec you a new cam that will work best with your setup i.e. heads, exhaust, shortblock, blower etc.

Are you looking to run pump gas or race gas? Stick or Auto? If a stick do you have an upgraded clutch? Like I said, over power me with info and I can tell you exactly what you need sir! Thanks. -Chris

I have a Vengeance stage 1 cam and it is 223/231 .610/.614 115+3. I see their website has different specs now listed.

Chris,

He is a L99 that had what Vengenace called a LS3 conversion. I know it is his daily driver so probably pump gas.

Personally I would rebuild the block with a light hone, the stock crank and some good aftermarket forged pistons and rods. Throw in a new high volume oil pump and quality lifters. Do a valve job on the heads with the new springs for your chosen cam, reassemble, reinstall and enjoy.

I've I seen the Mini but for the price difference I've been looking at the 419. Been meaning to get a hold of them and see how much boost and HP it can handle.

My compression ratio would raise a bit and I'd want it a tad lower actually for the blower. I suppose I could have them put in shorter rods?
instead of shorter rods, you'd probably be better to use pistons with a little more dish to them.

10.8:1? how much boost are you running? more importantly, what kind of gas are you using?

even though Ohio is only 1000+ ft higher in elevation, you gotta remember Mobile is at sea level (think really dense air). when you start throwing 9-10psi of boost at it, i wouldn't trust pump 93 to do the job.

and IRPQ,
i know it's great that you're finally getting a built engine, but i really hate the circumstances. reminds me of how i finally got the v8 i wanted in my truck you've definitely got the most dedication i've ever seen towards one car
you've got so many stories packed into these past 3 yrs about how "the car's doing this", "the car did that", "the car broke my ____"...
i hate that i ain't been able to be more help, even the times i came over to take stuff apart or reinstall.

hopefully i don't have to go this route for my forged stroker... i'm already on this road towards a build TR6060 swap. ever since Road Atlanta, trans fluid has been slowly migrating from the inside of the case to my garage floor

Not sure if this was mentioned but I would say some ID850's are in your future for injectors as well.
