The 2019 Corvette LT1 has no changes, as far as I can find.

Is that a first that the truck engines get an update and the car doesn’t?

No. There was a long span of time between the trucks getting AFM and the cars getting it. Likewise, there was a long span of time from when cars got aluminum block until the trucks finally got it.

BTW - The new engine broke surface today. For those who didn't see it, it is a 4.2L Twin Turbo V8 for Cadillac. First use comes in the CT6 V-Sport. FenwickHockey65 started a thread on it.

So as much as I love the 4.2TT...I want truck news.

Here's hoping for something next week.

I thought that DoD/AFM was (re)introduced in 2005 on both cars & SUV's with the 5.3L V8? Specifically the Impala/Grand Prix as well Trailblazer/Envoy

Trailblazer and Envoy V8 were first. Impala and Grand Prix were with the 3.9L V6 if I remember correctly. I honestly can’t remember what year we put the V8 in FWD Impala (Impala SS). The first FWD Impala SS cars were 3.8SC, not V8. There was a lot of controversy internally about putting the V8 in that architecture. It eventually happened, but it wasn’t without a ton of engineering effort. I do recall that Corvette didn’t get it for a long time and Camaro didn’t get it until LT1.

Camaro got AFM with the L99.

2005 was the year of the V8 Impala SS/Grand Prix GXP

Camaro got AFM in the 2010 model year with the L99 in automatic equipped SS's

Yeah wacky times for sure when the Camaro was on pause. Interesting point with the block material. Did the trucks go to square ports from cathedral at the same time as the cars?

Are they still using Gen IV engines in the 3/4 and 1 tons?
