Being an OLD GEEZER here, I have been educated about Transformers, I didn't know that Bumble Bee originally was a VW, or that Cliff Jumper is/was too. in the movie, Bumble Bee is a camaro, duh, and now its possible that Cliff Jumber will be in the next movie too. I found some pretty nice pieces of what Cliff Jumber could look like.

Sideswipe started as a red Lamborghini Countach. In the latest movie, he was a concept anniversary Corvette.

Sideswipe was one of my favorites growing up, especially when the second generation version used the same car, but with a black paintjob.

Most recently (before the lastest movie), he transformed into a Gallardo... at least pretty much.

I forgot one. Sideswipe's "brother" was Sunstreaker, but he was a gold/yellow Countach.

Very cool. Thank you for the information.

Stealth Bumblebee

I have a 5th Gen Camaro that has a stealth bumblebee package that was added at some point but according to GM it isn't a true Transformers edition. Has anyone else seen this package? Sorry for the angled pic - can't figure out how to rotate it.

Was that an offered option, or just someone customizing their black Camaro to be like the Stealth Bumblebee toy? It looks nice!

Transformers is nostalgia to me and I too am a fan.

I remember when I was a kid I was all over the (then just) Transformers cartoon and Movie/s (the original cartoon movies - not today's so-so flicks). These rocked and I recently acquired the full collection of all seasons and movies of the original G1 series... heaven.

With that, I have also recently started collecting the original G1 Transformer Action Figures. My office alone is currently decorated with the original Megatron, Optimus Prime, the full set of Constructicons, all five of the Dino-bots, and a newer generation 15 or so inch tall Camaro/Bumblebee standing tall on one end of my cubbies... I want to set up an Omega Supreme too but need to make some room before I do... haha... love em. Takes me back...

Check this out if you're interested in getting some good stuff...

Thanks Provadan! I'm trying to find that info out because I can't find any information as to how this was done. We haven't been able to find the stripes or the badge for purchase anywhere and none of the local dealerships have seen or were aware of the "options". Any thoughts on who might know how to figure it out? Chevrolet wasn't any help either.

Sometimes a dealer will add things to a car to make it stand out. That is one possibility. The stripes are available aftermarket, and the yellow interior parts can be customized. Does it have any of the other Transformers parts like the sills or the bumper blackout with the script?
I personally have added to my “BlackBee” the skinny mirrors and side markers, the Drake shifter, the Autobot head rests, console lid, wheel center caps and fuel door. I custom painted the engine cover and strut tower brace to make it more fun. I even got the Beeyotch air freshener and disco ball like in the movie. Yeah, I too am a bit of a geek!
Enjoy your beautiful car!

I had cliff jumper when i was a kid. I also had wind charger the red firebird, thats what I've been calling my 2012 victory red camaro. I guess it's time for a name change. I never understood why they used the bumblebee name on a camaro but what do i know.
