Battery recharge system

So I was driving on the interstate just cruising and the message ‘service battery recharge system’ popped up and then a few minutes later went away. Then came back. Then went away. And it continued to do that all the way home. Car didn’t feel weird or anything and started back up with no problem. Any ideas what it could be?

disconnect, inspect, possibly clean, and reconnect the connector on the alternator that goes to the ECM. Check to see if it loose before you go and just pull it off, you might make an observation.

I'd have a load test done on the battery too.

What was voltage gauge doing when this happened?
This sounds like an intermittent connection problem in the main charging circuit.
Battery terminals, alternator, and there is a main fuse somewhere.
Did anything get wet anywhere?

So the first time it popped up I just happened to get caught in a downpour of rain. I don’t drive my car in the rain, but the weather app deceived me that day.
And I’m not sure if the voltage because on the ZL1 that’s the boost gauge right? Unless there’s a gauge hidden in the display somewhere

So if I have an underdriven pulley, wouldn’t this cause my alternator not to charge the battery enough ?
