500rwhp ls3 with a mild cam... Doable?

Just masterminding for a build. Do you guys think we could get there with a light loping cam, with nice drivability? Like a gt11 or jre smooth idle for example.

I'm thinking
416/18ci stroker no 427
11.5:1 cr
Ported heads, or mast
1 7/8" or 2" Headers
Cai
3" exhaust
Long runner intake?

How would you get there without regards to budget?
Just curious if its possible to get a mild idling car to 500 n/a

It's ambitious, I know

if i can get 450 with a tiny vvt cam and headwork on my l99 it doesnt seem outlandish to get 500 without even going as radical as you are thinking

Might as well just toss a blower on it with very mild boost. Cheaper unless you are set on NA.

Even if it didn't put the # up a 416 with ported heads/fast 102 setup running a gt11 would piss a lot of people off lol.

Through a M6 yes. L99 RWHP no. My l99 with that cam and PRC heads with stock compression made 440RWHP unlocked. I dont see another 60RWHP from a 416. It would be more like 480-490RWHP through a L99 drivetrain on a unlocked converter but for sure over 500RWHP through a M6 drivetrain if I had to guess at it.

Well, n/a for road course applications. Wouldn't want the extra weight/heat.

Love your camaro btw

I've been reading a lot about that cam, but I haven't come across anything that would make me think so. Can you elaborate?

I think he means most poeple would think your stock even though your far from due to the fact that that cam sounds stock. They would be pissed because they would think they just lost to a bolt on car.

Absolutely it can easily be done. We can discuss combos with you, but basically by cnc porting your heads & doing a short-block exchange you can put together a 418 combo for very reasonable $$$!! Not to mention we have those stroker short-blocks in stock!!

You can go 500+rwhp with a heads cam and a streetable camshaft though. Are you wanting a cam that sounds completely stock???
