Yeah I saw that. Maybe that's why they put so much cooling capacity in the SS.

Being an owner of a ZL1 that often tracks it, I'm not a fan of the blower on the Z06 either. I've overheated my ZL1 sending it into limp mod after about 20 minutes on the track. However I've only done that at one track event in the last year (out of about 8).

Also, MotorTrend just posted this last night

I don't see why they couldn't take the LT1 which already has a dry sump on the C7 Z51 and juice it up a little to be 480-500 hp. I'm sure it would be a capable Camaro with that kind of engine.

The LS6 eventually hit 50 hp over the LS1. They should be able to get more out of the LT1, especially on a limited version like the Z/28. CNC ported heads, more aggressive cam, more compression and a freer exhaust.

Looks like Chevy isn't wasting any time to get the LT4 Z** out this time around.

I'd like to see Chevy acknowledge that the 1.7L blower was a mistake and give the ZL1 a proper 2.3 or 2.4L unit. For the Z/28, do as you suggest and focus on a high output NA engine with reduced weight.

I don't run my ZL1 has hard as you but my first mod was a Lingenfelter HX, reservior and CAI. Keeping it cool is job one Chevy!

I haven't been around for a while, so was just catching up on the posts.

Pete - I really like your new shop.

Number 3 - Congrats on the new Z06 & welcome to my world. It is the best Corvette I have ever owned.

So sorry to hear about Lowdown, loved reading his posts. After losing my husband, it seems like my friends are dropping like flies. Lately I've been losing one or two a week. I'm putting the miles on the Z06 while I still can.

Re the Camaro 6 - I really LIKE it. I had the opportunity to drive it twice on the Belle Isle GP track during the Reveal. It is such an improvement. They gave it a clutch that I really like (I hated the clutch in my ZL1). The Team listened to all of my complaints and made a great car. The interior is really driver friendly. Take a good look at this new car and I think that you will like it. All of the
Disciples were pleased that the Camaro Team listened to what we had to say.

Looks like the GT350 can only rev above 6250 RPM for 8 seconds at a time before the ECM cuts throttle.

And they thought the LT4 overheating on hot days at the track was a problem. There's gonna be some upset people out there.

Ha! I wish I had that Z06. Just posted a pic of the sticker. Would love to have it.

It's claimed to be track worthy.
